Buff City Soap to open at Dawley Farms this week

Popular bath and body products store Buff City Soap arrives at Dawley Farm Village this week.

The new location is in a new retail center Dawley Farms, where Crumbl Cookies opened last week.

Opening day will be Thursday.

“It’s a happening place. There’s just so much activity out there and such great brands to align with,” franchisee Curt Bowen said. “Being near Crumbl and the main retail place on the east side, it’s such a great place to be.”

Buff City specializes in customizable plant-based soaps, and bath and laundry products. The product mix includes bar soap, foaming hand soap, shower gel, laundry soap and bath bombs.

“All our products are plant-based soaps, no artificial ingredients or preservatives,” Boen said. “You can customize any of our products — soap whips, bars, laundry — based on whatever fragrance you like first.”

There’s also a bar area where customers can make their own products.

“It’s very interactive,” Boen said. “Kids can come pack bath bombs while Mom and Dad are shopping, so it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

The store will carry some soaps and bars with custom Sioux Falls-themed scents.

The first 50 customers in line each day Thursday through Sunday will receive free soap for a year, and there will be other giveaways and promotions through Sunday.

The special hours for grand-opening weekend are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Regular hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 12 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Other tenants coming in the retail center include a nail salon and Cooks & Bakers Kitchen, which will offer upscale cookware, a demonstration kitchen and tips for entertaining.

Crumbl is offering a “free cookie Friday” this week. All customers will get a free chocolate chip cookie, including those who use the drive-thru.
